Kaspersky Antivirus Review

Kaspersky Antivirus offers a powerful malware-protection software with an impressive array of features. The features you can avail depend on the plan you select. It can be anything from basic antivirus and malware protection to a full security suite.

The user interface for Kaspersky is clean and visually appealing, with most functions displayed as a few tiles on the main screen. You can perform rapid or full scans and then review the results in a straightforward and concise manner. You can also check the status of your device (e.g. an orange tick means that you’re protected) and receive recommendations for next steps.

Kaspersky has many great features that include a data leak detector system that scans the dark web to find personal information for sale (e.g. email addresses, credit cards numbers, and social security numbers) and a scanner for weak settings that finds configurations that make your device vulnerable. Other security tools include an on-screen keyboard which blocks keyloggers from monitoring your physical movements to reveal your login information and the rescue disk for disinfecting the computer that is most vulnerable to attack. A free VPN is included with Kaspersky Internet Security subscriptions, although it’s limited to 300 MB per day.

While the software does an excellent job of ensuring your device is secure but some users are worried about the privacy practices of Kaspersky Lab. The company is owned by Russian security firm Eugene Kaspersky and has been accused by some of working with the government, even during the war www.techbars.net/data-room-for-mergers-and-acquisitions in Ukraine. The controversy has damaged image of the company, even though it denies the allegations.
